The Future of the Internet in Australia: More Speed, More Possibility

The internet in Australia is set to receive a serious boost and at Utility Market, we’re here to ensure you make the most out of it.

Giant upgrades are on the way this September

From this September, NBN is launching significant upgrades to its top-tier plans, opening up speeds we’ve only dreamed of so far. Here’s what’s happening:

  • Fast 100/20 Mbps → 500/50 Mbps
  • Superfast 250/25 Mbps → 750/50 Mbps
  • Ultrafast 1000 Mbps → 1000/50-100 Mbps

Such upgrades can give way to smoother streaming, quick downloads and smooth performance on all your devices, no matter whether you are working, learning, gaming or unwinding.

However, this is just the beginning

NBN introduces brand new multi-gigabit plans that is perfect for homes where speed is mostly a necessity. Content creators, streamers and remote workers, a new level is coming with up to 2 Gbps upload. That’s next- gen connectivity for those who push the boundaries.

How do I upgrade?

If you’re already on a superfast or ultrafast NBN plan and your place is connected with FTTP (fibre to the premises) or HFC (hybrid fibre coaxial). The good news is from September, your plan will be automatically upgraded to even faster speeds. No need to do anything. Just unwind and see the change.

So what if you are bereft of any of those plans or connection types? No worries. If you have your home on a different technology (such as fibre to the curb or fibre to the node), or on a different plan, you might be able to switch. Moving now means you’ll be set to enjoy next-level internet in September.

What to do if you’re on a Value or Value Plus plan

If you’re on a Value or Value Plus plan and would like accelerated, high-speed wholesale products, use our address checker from where you would be able to know what plans you may be eligible for.

If you’re already on an eligible FTTN or FTTC connection, then now is the ideal time to think about an upgrade. Enjoy reliable, fast internet by upgrading your FTTN/FTTC connection to FTTP fibre install. Take out a Speedy, Super Speedy, or Ultra Speedy plan to qualify for this upgrade.

Selecting the ideal internet plan is not about Mbps alone rather, it’s about the way your family lives, learns, works, and plays online. Naturally, your experience can still be impacted by your modem, home configuration, and the number of devices connecting at the same time. That’s where Utility Market steps in.

From effortless streaming and stunning video calls to more intelligent homes and more productive workdays, these improvements are intended to fuel the way you live online. Call it more than a technology upgrade, it’s a better, faster foundation for your connected life.

The future is nearer than you believe

NBN speed tier is the best possible speed of the applicable plan during off-peak evening hours. NBN speeds don’t have to be the same as download/upload speeds you will actually obtain in practice, which can be reduced by a variety of factors. You will need a compatible modem to access the upgrade speed tier.

At Utility Market, we’re here to support you every step of the way. From selecting the perfect plan to maximizing the benefits of your enhanced connection. From useful tips to tailored support, we’re committed to ensuring your internet experience is easy.
